Donations Boost Harrogate Funds |
The band would like to thank Lisa and Laura for running a bucket collection at the Brundall River Fest.
They raised a total of £64.98. This money will be added to our 'Road to Harrogate' fund, to help towards the cost of the band competing in the National Brass Band Championships First Section Finals in Harrogate on 26/27 September.
Many thanks to those who made the donations.
Congratulations are also due to Geoff Barber for conducting the band at Brundall in the absence of David Stowell, who was taking a well deserved holiday at the time. The band is privileged to have such talented musicians as Geoff in its ranks.
If you would like to make a donation towards this or any of our other projects, or if you would just like some more information, please contact Bob Waterson by clicking here. |

Music at Panworth Hall |
On Saturday 27 June, 2009, Norfolk Brass had the pleasure of providing music at Panworth Hall, Ashill, following the wedding of Marina Louise Ralli and Patrick Thomas Milburn.
The weather was slightly unsettled, with a thunderstorn brewing following several days of scorching sunshine. After the performance, the father of the bride, David Ralli, thanked the band:
"Thank you all for playing so well during the afternoon. It was very well received and I did pass on your name to as many people as I could who one day might come to you for some music.
We were pretty lucky with the weather and we did appreciate you playing Singing in the Rain as he first few drops began to fall.
Please do pass on our thanks to all the band. They certainly added to the pleasure of the whole event."
The band wish the bride and groom every happiness for the future.

Thanks to The Greyhound, Hickling
The band would like to thank Tony and Debbie of The Greyhound, Hickling for their generous support.
Their sponsorship has enabled the band to keep at the top of it's performance level and has contributed directly to the success at the Regional Championships at Stevenage and our subsequent qualification to the Finals at Harrogate in September 2009.
The small country Inn built c1735, though believed to be a lot older than that, is situated in the heart of Hickling. With having accommodation just next door, it is an ideal base from which to explore the whole of the Broadland area.
You are also advised to book for the Restaurant, plus in the summer months, the award-winning garden is also very popular. Children are welcome, so long as they are bolted down. Dogs are also welcome so long as they are kept on a lead.
Please telephone 01692 598306 for further information or Restaurant Reservations.
