Adjudicators Remarks

Order of Play: 15

Placing: 1st

  1. Good start, balance between 1st and 2nd bar not so good. Tempo rocks somewhat around D. 89, perc too fast.
  2. Phrasing in Bb bass not fluent. Sop rather strong for Piano. Tempo a little slow (crotchet = 92) More trombone please for mf at F. Sound drop in Band on dotted minim before G. Ensemble not so good at G. 142 good as is 146. Good sop apart from the gliss to the Bb. Good atmosphere created here.
  3. Good start - false entry 170 - all clear.  Troms good 191&192. A good 202, timps are missing. Good ending.
  4. Slight insecurity but musically very good here. S is very effective. Good flugal and Eb bass. Beautifully played by all.
  5. Great start. Cornet excellent. Baritone? Good balance and technique. Don’t rush at FF.

An excellent performance that had great soloists and flow to the music. Well done!
